12th Gemini Awards
The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television's 12th Gemini Awards were held on March 1, 1998, to honour achievements in Canadian television. There were two awards ceremonies in 1998; the 13th was held on October 4, 1998. The 12th awards ceremony was hosted by Cathy Jones and Steve Smith. Metro Toronto Convention Centre
Metro Toronto Convention Centre (originally and still colloquially Metro Convention Centre, and sometimes MTCC), is a convention complex located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada along Front Street (Toronto), Front Street West in the former Railway Lands in downtown Toronto. The property is today owned by Oxford Properties. The centre is operated by the Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre Corporation, an independent agency of the Government of Ontario. ''Madison'' is a Canadian teen drama television series that premiered on Global Television Network on September 21, 1993. The first season of the series was released in 1992 and 1993 to classrooms as a learning aid under the title of ''Working It Out at Madison'', before becoming a television series for entertainment purposes. Robin Spry
Robin Spry (October 25, 1939 – March 28, 2005) was a Canadian film director, producer and writer. He was perhaps best known for his documentary films '' Action: The October Crisis of 1970'' and '' Reaction: A Portrait of a Society in Crisis'' about Quebec's October Crisis. His 1969 film ''Prologue'' won the BAFTA Award for Best Documentary. Hiroshima (1995 Film)
''Hiroshima'' is a 1995 Japanese-Canadian war drama film directed by Koreyoshi Kurahara and Roger Spottiswoode about the decision-making processes that led to the dropping of the atomic bombs by the United States on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki toward the end of World War II. The three-hour film was made for television ( Showtime Network) and had no theatrical release.
