11th Lok Sabha
The 11th Lok Sabha was constituted after April–May 1996 general elections. The result of the election was a hung parliament, which would see three Prime Ministers in two years and force the country back to the polls in 1998. Atal Bihari Vajpayee of Bharatiya Janata Party, the single largest party to win this election, winning 67 more seats than previous 10th Lok Sabha, formed the government which lasted for only 13 days. The United Front was created and got support from 332 members out of the 545 seats in the Lok Sabha, resulting in H. D. Deve Gowda from the Janata Dal being the 11th Prime Minister of India. Later I. K. Gujral, took the command of the country but when Lalu Prasad Yadav left Janta Dal and formed his own party, 11th Lok Sabha was dissolved to get a fresh mandate from the voters for next 12th Lok Sabha in the 1998 Indian general election. Old Parliament House, New Delhi
The Old Parliament House, officially known as the Samvidhan Sadan (''Constitution House''), was the seat of the Imperial Legislative Council of India between 18 January 1927 and 15 August 1947, the Constituent Assembly of India between 15 August 1947 and 26 January 1950, and the Parliament of India between 26 January 1950 and 18 September 2023. For 73 years, it housed the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha (the Lower house, lower and Upper house, upper houses) respectively in India's Bicameralism, bicameral parliament. The building was designed by British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker and was constructed between 1921 and 1927. It was opened in January 1927 as the seat of the Imperial Legislative Council and was known as the Council House. Janata Dal () was an List of political parties in India, Indian political party which was formed through the merger of Lok Dal, Indian National Congress (Jagjivan), and the Jan Morcha on 11 October 1988—the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan under the leadership of V. Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu (born 4 September 1957) is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He is a seven time MLA from Narsipatnam Assembly constituency. He is serving as the 21st and current speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He won the Narsipatnam seat in the 2024 Assembly election. Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu (23 February 1957 – 2 November 2012) was an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He served as the Union Minister in H. D. Deve Gowda and I. K. Gujral Cabinets.
