114 (number)
114 (one hundred [and] fourteen) is the natural number following 113 (number), 113 and preceding 115 (number), 115. In mathematics *114 is an abundant number, a sphenic number and a Harshad number. It is the sum of the first four hyperfactorials, including H(0). At 114, the Mertens function sets a new low of -6, a record that stands until 197. *114 is the smallest positive integer* which has yet to be represented as a3 + b3 + c3, Sums of three cubes, where a, b, and c are integers. It is conjectured that 114 can be represented this way. (*Excluding integers of the form 9k ± 4, for which solutions are known not to exist.) *There is no answer to the equation Euler's totient function, φ(x) = 114, making 114 a nontotient. *114 appears in the Padovan sequence, preceded by the terms 49, 65, 86 (it is the sum of the first two of these). *114 is a repdigit in base 7 (222). 114 (Antrim Artillery) Field Squadron, Royal Engineers
The Antrim Artillery was a part-time reserve unit of Britain's Royal Artillery based in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, from 1853 to 1919. It numbered 1st on the order of precedence of the Militia Artillery. Volunteers from the unit served in the Second Boer War. During World War I it defended Belfast Lough and trained gunners for service overseas. Subsequent units continued the Antrim Artillery traditions. Background The long-standing national Militia of the United Kingdom was revived by the Militia Act 1852, enacted during a period of international tension. As before, units were raised and administered on a county basis, and filled by voluntary enlistment (although conscription by means of the Militia Ballot might be used if the counties failed to meet their quotas). Training was for 56 days on enlistment, then for 21–28 days per year, during which the men received full army pay. Under the Act, Militia units could be embodied by Royal Proclamation for full-time service in t ...

Four additional suburban operations are partially funded by the MBTA. Most buses charge local bus fare ($1.70 one-way as of 2024). The Silver Line waterfront services (SL1, SL2, SL3, and SLW) charge the standard subway fare ($2.40 one-way as of 2024). Express buses have a local portion within a community (which charge the local bus fare), and an express portion that takes a highway to or from downtown Boston (which charges a higher fare of $4.25 as of 2024). ...

114 Kassandra
114 Kassandra is a large and dark main-belt asteroid. It belongs to the rare class T. It was discovered by C. H. F. Peters on July 23, 1871, and is named after Cassandra, the prophetess in the tales of the Trojan War. This object is classified as a rare T-type asteroid, with parts of the spectrum displaying properties similar to the mineral troilite and to carbonaceous chondrite. The shape of the spectrum also appears similar to fine grain from the Ornans meteorite, which landed in France in 1868. The light curve for this asteroid displays a period of 10.758 ± 0.004 hours with a brightness variation of 0.25 ± 0.01 in magnitude. In 2001, 114 Kassandra was observed by radar from the Arecibo Observatory. The return signal matched an effective diameter of 100 ± 14 km. This is consistent with the asteroid dimensions computed through other means. In popular media The 2009 miniseries ''Meteor'' featured 114 Kassandra being sent on a collision course with Earth due to ...
