105th Wisconsin Legislature
The 105th Wisconsin Legislature convened from January 12, 2021, to March 1, 2022, in regular session. The Legislature also held two extraordinary sessions and six special sessions during the term. Senators representing even-numbered districts are newly elected for this session and are serving the first two years of a four-year term. Assembly members are elected to a two-year term. Assembly members and even-numbered senators were elected in the general election of November 3, 2020. Wisconsin State Capitol
The Wisconsin State Capitol, located in Madison, Wisconsin, houses both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature along with the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Office of the Governor. Completed in 1917, the building is the fifth to serve as the Wisconsin capitol since the first territorial legislature convened in 1836 and the third building since Wisconsin was granted statehood in 1848.
