1017 Global Music, LLC, also known as The New 1017 Records (formerly known as 1017 Brick Squad, So Icey Entertainment, and 1017 Eskimo, briefly GUWOP Enterprises), is an American record label founded by Gucci Mane in 2007. Its formation followed his departure from Mizay Entertainment and the dissolution of So Icey. The label has signed mainly Atlanta-based hip hop recording artists, such as Young Thug, Waka Flocka Flame, Pooh Shiesty and OJ da Juiceman, among others. History 2007–2013 In 2007 Gucci Mane founded his first independent record label, So Icey Entertainment, after signing with Mizay Entertainment. Soon after Gucci released his independent album, ''Trap-A-Thon''. From 2007 to 2009, So Icey Entertainment released a multitude of mixtapes for regional artists. Radric Delantic Davis (born February 12, 1980), known professionally as Gucci Mane, is an American rapper. ''Flockaveli'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Waka Flocka Flame. It was released through 1017 Brick Squad, Asylum, and Warner Bros. Records on October 5, 2010. The title of the album is a portmanteau of Waka Flocka Flame's name and that of the Italian political theorist Machiavelli, and was inspired by fellow American rapper Tupac Shakur, whose final stage name and pseudonym before his death was Makaveli. The album was recorded at Next Level Studios in Houston, NightBird Recording Studios in West Hollywood, and S-Line Ent. in Atlanta. Alexander Woods (April 7, 2000 – December 22, 2022), better known by his stage name Big Scarr, was an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He signed with Gucci Mane's 1017 Records in 2020, and released his single "SoIcyBoyz" (featuring Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, and Tay Keith) in June of that year. His debut mixtape, ''Big Grim Reaper'' (2021) peaked at number 25 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and was met with positive reception. Greg Hogan (born May 15, 1985), better known by his stage name Frenchie, is an American rapper. He was in Gucci Mane's 1017 Records group 1017 Brick Squad and Waka Flocka Flame's Brick Squad Monopoly. Frenchie is credited for introducing Nicki Minaj and French Montana to Debra's Mizay Entertainment before their mainstream breakouts. The Diplomats
The Diplomats (also known as Dipset) were an American Hip hop music, hip hop collective formed in the summer of 1997 by childhood friends Cam'ron and Jim Jones (rapper), Jimmy Jones in Harlem, New York City. The group was originally composed of Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey, all of whom grew up together in Harlem. In 1999, fellow Harlem-based rapper Juelz Santana joined the group.
