1. FC Magdeburg is a German Association football Football club (association football), club based in Magdeburg. The club was founded in 1965 from the football department of the Sports club (East Germany), sports club ''SC Magdeburg'' and has been one of the top teams in the DDR-Oberliga, winning List of East German football champions, three championships and FDGB-Pokal, seven cup titles. By winning the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1973–74 European Cup Winners' Cup, 1974, the club became the only East German club to win a European trophy and also achieved the greatest success in its history. Avnet Arena is a multi-purpose stadium in Magdeburg, Germany. It has been completed and opened to the public in December 2006, replacing the old Ernst-Grube-Stadion. Robert Frederick Chelsea Moore (12 April 1941 – 24 February 1993) was an English professional footballer. FC Carl Zeiss Jena () is a German football club based in Jena, Thuringia. Founded in 1903, it was initially associated with the optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss. Dessau
Dessau is a district of the independent city of Dessau-Roßlau in Saxony-Anhalt at the confluence of the rivers Mulde and Elbe, in the ''States of Germany, Bundesland'' (Federal State) of Saxony-Anhalt.
