Λucifer
(stylized as Λucifer) was a Japanese visual kei Rock music, rock band, best known for contributing several of their songs to the popular anime, Kaikan Phrase. The band was formed in 1999, and disbanded in early 2003. They officially debuted on 15 September 1999 with their big hit single Datenshi BLUE, and became increasingly popular thereafter. History Lucifer was put together for the Kaikan Phrase anime to promote it. The anime was based on the a popular shōjo manga by Mayu Shinjo. The band members of real life Lucifer changed their names to match with their anime/manga counterparts, except for the vocalist, who kept his name instead of changing it to Sakuya (the main character's name). Kaikan Phrase
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Mayu Shinjo. The manga was published by Shogakukan in ''Shōjo Comic'' between 1997 and 2000, and collected in 18 tankōbon, bound volumes. It was adapted as a 44-episode anime television series by Studio Hibari, and as a series of novels. The series tells the story of Aine Yukimura, a high school student who becomes the lyricist for a Japanese rock band, and her relationship with the band's lead singer, Sakuya Ookochi. To promote the anime, a real-life band was formed: Λucifer, the band the story focuses on. The rival band, e.MU, seems to have been active before the manga was created. Both bands continued after the anime ended before disbanding. In the series, Λucifer's original name is Lucifer, changed to Λucifer (using the Greek letter lambda) when the band decides to go international. Defspiral (stylized as defspiral, and briefly existing under the name Wilma-Sidr) is a Japanese visual kei alternative metal band composed of most of the former members of the Underneath. When the Underneath disbanded in 2010, January 23rd, 2010, retrieved January 27, 2010 most of the group was signed to Avex Mode to perform songs for the Kamen Rider Series. This occurred with a change to their style to a smoother, slicker and more seductive style than their previous incarnations.
