Živan Vulić
Živan Vulić (Staro Lanište near Jagodina, Kingdom of Serbia, 1911 - Belgrade, Serbia, 2006) was a prominent and prolific Serbian painter of the 20th century. His works were sold in auction houses in Serbia and abroad. He was born in 1911 in the village of Lanište near Jagodina. From 1919, he lived in the capital Belgrade. In 1932, he graduated from the teaching department of the State Art School, taught by his professors and mentors Beta Vukanović and Ljubomir Ivanović. He was well appreciated by art critics and in art circles in Belgrade for his landscapes of Kalemegdan Park, Kalemegdan and the environs. He was known for his motifs from nature, urban depictions and rich colours. During his life, he was considered one of Serbia's oldest and most prominent painters. Čačak
Čačak ( sr-Cyrl, Чачак, ) is a List of cities in Serbia, city and the administrative center of the Moravica District in central Serbia. It is located in the West Morava Valley. According to the 2022 census, the city itself has a population of 69,598 while the city administrative area has 105,612 inhabitants. The city lies about 144 km south of the Serbian capital, Belgrade. Nadežda Petrović
Nadežda Petrović ( sr-Cyrl, Надежда Петровић; 11/12 October 1873 – 3 April 1915) was a Serbian painter and one of the women war photography pioneers in the region. Considered Serbia's most famous expressionist and fauvist, she was the most important Serbian female painter of the period. Born in the town of Čačak, Petrović moved to Belgrade in her youth and attended the women's school of higher education there. Graduating in 1891, she taught there for a period beginning in 1893 before moving to Munich to study with Slovenian artist Anton Ažbe. Between 1901 and 1912, she exhibited her work in many cities throughout Europe. In the later years of her life, Petrović had little time to paint and produced only a few works. In 1912, she volunteered to become a nurse following the outbreak of the Balkan Wars. She continued nursing Serbian soldiers until 1913, when she contracted typhus and cholera. Nikola Milojević (painter)
Nikola Milojević (Serbian: Никола Милојевић; Jagodina, Principality of Serbia, 6 May 1865 – Belgrade, Serbia, Kingdom of Yugoslavia under occupation, 7 March 1942) was one of the most prolific Serbian portraitists of his generation. He was also a popular Belgrade studio photographer, a representative of academic Realism (arts), realism of the 19th century along with many of his colleagues. Birth He was born in Jagodina on 6 May 1865, to father Teodor, a merchant craftsman, and mother Milica. He lost his father early in his childhood, and his mother had to take care of him and three other siblings. Faced with scarcity and poverty, the remaining three children died.
