Žarko Rakčević
Žarko Rakčević (Serbian Cyrillic: Жарко Ракчевић; born March 21, 1961, in Podgorica) is a Montenegrin politician and businessman. He was one of the founders and first president (2015–17) of social liberal political party United Reform Action (URA). He is currently president of the Political Council of URA. Having finished Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović" in Podgorica, Rakčević graduated at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro. He obtained a master's degree in 1983. He was one of the founders of centre-left Social Democratic Party of Montenegro (SDP CG) in 1993 and long-term president of the Party (1993–2002). Serbian Cyrillic
The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet (, ), also known as the Serbian script, (, ), is a standardized variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language. It originated in medieval Serbia and was significantly reformed in the 19th century by the Serbian philologist and linguist Vuk Karadžić. The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet is one of the two official scripts used to write modern standard Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. Karadžić based his reform on the earlier 18th-century Slavonic-Serbian script. Following the principle of "write as you speak and read as it is written" (''piši kao što govoriš, čitaj kao što je napisano''), he removed obsolete letters, eliminated redundant representations of iotated vowels, and introduced the letter from the Latin script. Podgorica ( cnr-Cyrl, Подгорица; ) is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. The city is just north of Lake Skadar and close to coastal destinations on the Adriatic Sea. Historically, it was Podgorica's position at the confluence of the Ribnica (Morača), Ribnica and Morača River, Morača rivers and at the meeting-point of the fertile Zeta Plain and Bjelopavlići Valley that encouraged settlement. United Reform Action
The Civic Movement United Reform Action (), commonly known as simply United Reform Action (URA), is a green, socially liberal, and pro-European party in Montenegro. The current party leader is former Prime Minister Dritan Abazović. History Founded in March 2015 by Žarko Rakčević, a civil engineer and former member and president of Social Democratic Party, before the 2016 parliamentary election URA had two MPs in the Parliament of Montenegro: Dritan Abazović and Miloš Konatar, both elected in 2012 from the electoral list of Positive Montenegro. In September 2016, URA decided to enter the Key Coalition with Demos and SNP in order to participate at the forthcoming parliamentary election.
