Štefan Svitko
Štefan Svitko (born 26 June 1982 in Žaškov) is a Slovak motorcyclist. In his racing career he became champion of Slovak republic in enduro and cross country 20 times and he is 3 time champion of European enduro championship. In the 2016 Dakar Rally he made it into second place overall. He had an overall win on stage 10. This feat made Svitko the first Slovak racer to finish on the podium in final classification on the Dakar Rally. Štefan finished 2020 Dakar Rally 11th overall. 2023 Dakar Rally
The 2023 Dakar Rally was a rally raid event held in Saudi Arabia and the 45th edition of the Dakar Rally organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). The event takes place between 31 December 2022 and 15 January 2023. This is the fourth time Saudi Arabia has hosted the event. For the second year running, the event is also the first round of the 2023 World Rally-Raid Championship. The outline of the race route was presented on 5 June 2022. The route was started at a "Sea Camp" near Yanbu, on the Red Sea shore, and finished in Dammam, at the Persian Gulf shore. The route returned to the Empty Quarter this year with three stages, including the marathon stage. The route featured 70% new tracks, less liaison, and 5,000 kilometres of special stages. 2025 Dakar Rally
The 2025 Dakar Rally is a rally raid event that took place in Saudi Arabia. It is the 47th edition of the Dakar Rally, organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), and the 6th time Saudi Arabia has hosted the event. The event took place from 3 to 17 January 2025. For the fourth year running, the event will also be the first round of the 2025 World Rally-Raid Championship. Background The grand presentation and the outline of the race route took place on 18 May 2024 in Les Comes, targeting French and Spanish audience. The promo tour continued to South Africa, Italy, Mexico / USA, Argentina, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. The 2024 Dakar Rally was a rally raid event held in Saudi Arabia. It was the 46th edition of the Dakar Rally, organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), and the 5th time Saudi Arabia has hosted the event. The event took place between 5 and 19 January 2024. For the third year running, the event was also the first round of the 2024 World Rally-Raid Championship. The outline of the race route was presented on 3 June 2023. This year the route started at Al-'Ula, then across the Empty Quarter, and finished in Yanbu. 2022 Dakar Rally
The 2022 Dakar Rally was a rally raid event held in Saudi Arabia and the 44th edition of the Dakar Rally organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). The event took place between 1–14 January 2022. This was the third time Saudi Arabia had hosted the event, with support from the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation. The race started in Ha'il and ended in Jeddah, going through canyons and cliffs in the Neom region, passing by the Red Sea coastline, into the stretches of dunes surrounding Riyadh, with a lot more action on sand dunes in the Empty Quarter. The route consisted of one prologue stage and 12 normal stages, with one rest day in Riyadh on 8 January. When ASO signed the five-year deal with Saudi Arabia, there was a first-year exclusivity clause. Since it has expired, more countries could have been added to the route.
