Šobec Campground
Šobec Campground is a campsite located south of Highway E61 near Lesce, Slovenia. The campsite lies next to Šobec Pond (), a small artificial lake created by impounding a few inflows below the upper river terrace, where the southern part of Lesce is located. The elevation of the pond is . Its area is , and its deepest point is The pond is elliptical, with its major axis extending in a north–south direction. Lesce
Lesce () is a town in the Municipality of Radovljica in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It is an industrial and tourist centre. It is one of the earliest-mentioned settlements in the region, first noted in a document from 1004 together with Bled and Bohinj. Lesce is the location of the Lesce–Bled Airfield and Šobec Campground. Lesce is also the home town of retired ski jumpers Vinko Bogataj and Franci Petek. Lesce was selected by MTV as the site for its annual Spring Break Jam in the spring of 2009. Church In the centre of the old town there is a three-aisled pilgrimage church dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin, originally a Gothic church with remnants of 14th-century frescos on its exterior, but which was extensively changed in the 17th century in the Baroque style. Sava Dolinka
The Sava Dolinka is a headwater of the Sava River in northwestern Slovenia. The long Sava Dolinka starts as Nadiža Creek in the Planica Valley under Mount Zadnja Ponca in the Julian Alps, at an elevation of 1222 m, close to the Italian border. The stream goes underground soon after its source and breaks out again after 5 km at an elevation of 842 m in Zelenci, near Kranjska Gora. The Sava Dolinka flows through Kranjska Gora, Gozd Martuljek, Jesenice, between Bled and Breg, and past the town of Lesce. The first in a series of hydroelectric power plants on the river, the Moste Hydro Power Plant (22.5 MW), is located near Žirovnica. Upper Carniola ( ; ; ) is a traditional region of Slovenia, the northern mountainous part of the larger Carniola region.
