Škoda Elektra
Škoda Elektra is trade name of line of trams made by Czech company Škoda Transportation in Plzeň. The designation applies to both unidirectional and bidirectional vehicles. The end parts of the vehicles (except 06T and 10T) were created by Porsche Design Group. The vehicles are built in the Škoda factory in Plzeň. Elektra trams were ordered by transport companies of Brno, Cagliari, Portland, Oregon, Portland, Prague, Tacoma, Washington, Tacoma and Wrocław. As of April 2015, 176 units were ordered. The T Line, formerly known as Tacoma Link, is a light rail line in Tacoma, Washington, part of the Link light rail system operated by Sound Transit. It travels and serves 12 stations between Tacoma Dome Station, Downtown Tacoma, and Hilltop. The line carried 919,603 total passengers in 2024, with a weekday average of over 3,600 boardings. Tacoma Link runs for nine to 18 hours per day, using streetcars at frequencies of 12 to 20 minutes. The Škoda 10 T, or Skoda 10T, the latter being the common English-language form, is a three-carbody-section low-floor bi-directional tram, developed by Škoda Transportation. It was in production from 2000 to 2002. The vehicle is four-axled, and is based on the Škoda 03 T, which is a uni-directional model operating in a few cities in the Czech Republic. The low-floor area represents 50% of the entire vehicle floor. The 10T was originally part of Skoda's ''Astra'' model line, although in the United States it was referred to only as the 10T. The Portland Streetcar is a streetcar system in Portland, Oregon, that opened in 2001 and serves areas surrounding downtown Portland. The NS Line runs from Northwest Portland to the South Waterfront via Downtown and the Pearl District. The Cagliari light rail system, commercially known as ''Metrocagliari'', is a two-line light rail system that serves the town of Cagliari and part of its metropolitan area, in Sardinia, Italy. The Škoda 16 T (also called Elektra) is a five carbody section low-floor uni-directional tram, developed by Škoda Transportation for Wrocław. The vehicle was designed by Porsche Design Group. The 16 T has six axles, and the low-floor area represents 65% of the entire vehicle floor. It is based on the Škoda 05 T. Production As of winter 2007, 17 trams were ordered and delivered to Wrocław. There were plans of buying additional 7 trams with the Škoda 19 T shipment, but all the plans have been canceled. Equipment The Škoda 16 T is equipped according to all standards. The things that is missing alongside the Air-Conditioning is a Monitoring System.
