Şükriye Dikmen
Ayşe Şükriye Dikmen (1918 – 16 September 2000), was a Turkish painter. She is known for her portraits of women and young girls. Biography Şükriye Dikmen was born in Constantinople in 1918. Her father was Cafer Fahri Dikmen, Cafer Fahri Bey from Batumi of Georgians in Turkey, Georgian descent and a microbiologist of the early Republic of Turkey, Republican era. She is the older sister of paintress Tiraje Dikmen, and the niece of Ali Dikmen, a member of the Ottoman parliament Meclis-i Mebusan, and later a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Grand National Assembly. Dikmen received her pre-university education at the Robert College in Arnavutköy finishing in 1942. Six years later in 1948, she completed her education at the Painting Department of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts, and then went to Paris, France. Hatice Şükriye Sultan (; "''respectful lady''" and "''grateful''"; 24 February 1906 – 1 April 1972) was an Ottoman princess, the daughter of heir to the throne Şehzade Yusuf Izzeddin, son of Sultan Abdulaziz, and Leman Hanım. Early life Şükriye Sultan was born on 24 February 1906 in her father's villa in Çamlıca. Her father was Şehzade Yusuf Izzeddin and her mother was Leman Hanım. She was the second child, and eldest daughter born to her father and the eldest child of her mother. She had two younger siblings, a brother, Şehzade Mehmed Nizameddin, two years younger than her, and a sister, Mihriban Mihrişah Sultan, ten years younger than her. Şükriye Yılmaz (born 2001) is a Turkish arm wrestling, armwrestler competing in the 60 kg category. She won medals mostly in the 55 kg category of Youth and Junior events. Early life and education Şükriye Yılmaz was born in a village of Gümüşhane Province, Turkey in 2001. She is the youngest of her two siblings. She finished the İmam Hatip school, İmam Hatip Anatolian High School, Anatolian Girls' High School in her hometown. She is a student of Physical Education and Sports at Gümüşhane University.
