Łukasz Prokorym (born 23 July 1985) is a Polish politician who is serving since May 2024 as Marshal of Podlaskie Voivodeship. Biography He was born in Białystok and studied in University of Białystok. In the 2018 Polish local elections he ran in the election with Civic Platform to the Białystok City Council and won there a seat and in addition he was elected as the chairman of that body. In the 2024 Polish local elections he headed the Civic Platform list for the Podlaskie Voivodeship Sejmik and became a deputy. Białystok
Białystok is the largest city in northeastern Poland and the capital of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. 2018 Polish Local Elections
The 2018 Polish local elections were held on October 21 for all 16 regional assemblies (''sejmik wojewódzki''), 380 county (''powiat'') councils, and 2477 municipal (''gmina'') councils. There were also direct elections for heads (''wójt'') of municipalities and mayors, with a second, run-off round for these offices on November 4. The Podlaskie Voivodeship Sejmik () is the regional legislature of the Voivodeship of Podlaskie. It is a unicameral parliamentary body consisting of thirty councillors elected to a five-year term. The current chairperson of the assembly is Cezary Cieślukowski. The assembly elects the executive board that acts as the collective executive for the regional government, headed by the province's marshal. The current Executive Board of Podlaskie is held by the coalition government of Civic Coalition and Third Way and supported by two PiS members with Łukasz Prokorym, KO presiding as marshal. Local elections were held in Poland on 7 April 2024 to elect members for all 16 regional assemblies (''sejmik wojewódzki''), 314 county (''powiat'') councils, and 2477 municipal (''gmina'') councils, heads (''wójt'') of municipalities and mayors of cities, as well as 18 district councils of Warsaw.
