Đoàn Kiến Quốc
Đoàn Kiến Quốc (born 24 March 1979 in Nha Trang) is a Vietnamese table tennis player. He won a gold medal, along with his partner Dinh Quang Linh in the men's doubles, at the 2009 Southeast Asian Games in Vientiane, Laos. As of November 2012, he is ranked no. 275 in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Doan is also left-handed, and uses the shakehand grip. Doan made his official debut for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he competed in the men's singles. He lost the first preliminary round match to a Chinese-born Italian table tennis player Yang Min, with a set score of 1–4. Nha Trang
Nha Trang ( or ; ) is a coastal city and capital of Khánh Hòa Province, on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. Alexei Smirnov (table Tennis)
Alexey Smirnov (born October 9, 1977) is a male table tennis player from Russia. Since 2003 he won several medals in doubles events in the Table Tennis European Championships. He also won the gold medal at the Europe Top-12 in 2005 at Rennes. He is also a multiple Russian national champion – four times in Men Singles and five in Men Doubles. He was also part of the winning cadet European Youth Championship team in 1992, as well as being the winner of the men's singles, the men's doubles and the mixed doubles at the junior level at the 1995 European Youth Championships. He also won the junior men's doubles at the 1994 European Youth Championships. In May 2011 he qualified for the London 2012 Olympic Games via his world ranking for June 2011. Christophe Legoût (born 6 August 1973 in Montbéliard, Doubs) is a French table tennis player. He is also left-handed, and uses the classic grip and Butterfly Legout blade. Table tennis career Since he became a member of the national team in 1991, Legout is considered one of France's most prominent and popular table tennis players in its sporting history. He is a multiple-time French champion in both the singles and doubles tournaments, and has won a total of ten medals (three golds and seven silver) in the same discipline at the ITTF World Tour series. David Zalcberg ( altsb''er''g) (born 4 May 1981, Melbourne, Victoria) is a left-handed Australian former table tennis player. Table tennis career Zalcberg began playing table tennis at age of 12. The Men's singles table tennis event was a part of the Table Tennis program and took place at the Peking University Gymnasium. The tournament started on August 19 and the finals took place on August 23. 77 athletes from 44 countries took part in the men's singles event.
