Đorđe Balašević
Đorđe Balašević ( sr-Cyrl, Ђорђе Балашевић; 11 May 1953 – 19 February 2021) was a Serbian singer and songwriter, writer, poet and director. He began his career in the late 1970s as a member of the band Rani Mraz, transitioning after two albums to a solo career. He first gained mainstream prominence for writing Rani Mraz's hit "Računajte na nas" (Count on Us), which was often described as an anthem of a generation. Noted for his vivid lyricism and poetry, Balašević was also known for weaving political commentary into his songs and live performance. Broadly supportive of Yugoslavism, South Slavic unity in late 1970s and early 1980s, in the lead up to the Yugoslav wars he began to criticise the authorities. Đorđe Andrejević Kun (; 31 March 1904 – 17 January 1964) was a Serbs, Serbian and Yugoslavs, Yugoslav painter and graphic artist, a participant in the Spanish Civil War and the World War II in Yugoslavia, National Liberation War in Yugoslavia and a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He is known for his paintings, graphic designs and Woodcut, woodcuts. Đorđe Branković (count)
Đorđe Branković ( sr-Cyrl, Ђорђе Бранковић, , ; 1645 – 19 December 1711) was a Transylvanian Serb diplomat, writer, and self-proclaimed descendant of the medieval Serbian Branković dynasty. He served as the agent representing the ruler of Transylvania at the Ottoman Porte. In 1680, he moved to Wallachia, whose ruler sent him as an emissary to the Habsburg monarchy, Habsburg Emperor Leopold I, Holy Roman Emperor, Leopold I in 1688. That year, the emperor conferred the title of Imperial Count on Branković. After Habsburg troops captured parts of Serbia from the Ottoman Empire during the Great Turkish War, Branković attempted to restore the medieval Serbian state with him as its hereditary ruler. Đorđe Branković
Đorđe Branković ( sr-Cyrl, Ђорђе Бранковић; anglicized as George; also known as Saint Maksim; 1461–1516) was the last male member of the Branković dynasty, and titular Despot of Serbia from 1486 to 1497. The title was granted to him by Hungarian king Matthias Corvinus. From 1493, he shared the title with his brother Jovan. In 1497, Đorđe relinquished all titles and possessions to his brother, and decided to take monastic vows, adopting the name ''Maksim'' ( sr-Cyrl, Максим). He built the Krušedol monastery, and served as diplomatic envoy for prince Radu IV the Great of Wallachia (1507). In 1513, he became Metropolitan of Belgrade. Đorđe Bašić ( sr-cyr, Ђорђе Башић; 1946–19 November 2007) was a politician in Serbia. He was a member of the National Assembly of Serbia and the Assembly of Vojvodina, and he held prominent office at the city level in Novi Sad. Đorđe "Giška" Božović (; 16 September 1955 – 15 September 1991) was a Serbian criminal and paramilitary commander during the Yugoslav Wars. Đorđe Crnomarković ( sr-Cyrl, Ђорђе Црномарковић; born 10 September 1993) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Vojvodina. George I Vojislavljević or Đorđe Bodinović ( sr-cyrl, Ђорђе Бодиновић) (fl. 1113-1131) was a King of Duklja (Zeta) and Travunija (southern parts of present-day Montenegro, northwestern parts of present-day Albania, and southern parts of Herzegovina), from 1113 to 1118, and again from 1125 to 1131. He also briefly ruled over inner Serbia. He was a son of King Constantine Bodin, of the Vojislavljević dynasty.
