Čelebić
Čelebić is a village in the Township of Livno in Canton 10 of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is connected to Kovačić, Livno, Kovačić and is located on the road between Bosansko Grahovo and Livno. The village was one of several sites of large-scale violence against Serbian civilians during the World War II in Yugoslavia, Second World War. During the Bosnian War the village was divided between Serb and Croat forces until December 1994, when the Croats took control of the village. History Second World War During the Second World War, the village of Čelebić was the site of mass killings carried out by Ustaše forces as part of the Genocide of Serbs in the Independent State of Croatia, genocide of Serbs across the territory of the Independent State of Croatia. Bosnian War
The Bosnian War ( / Рат у Босни и Херцеговини) was an international armed conflict that took place in Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995. Following several earlier violent incidents, the war is commonly seen as having started on 6 April 1992 when the newly independent Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was internationally recognized. It ended on 21 November 1995 when the Dayton accords, Dayton Accords were initialed. The main belligerents were the forces of the government of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and those of the breakaway proto-states of the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia, Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia and the Republika Srpska (1992–1995), Republika Srpska which were led and supplied by Croatia and Republic of Serbia (1992–2006), Serbia, respectively.
