''Über Cobra'' is the fifth live album released by the Athens, GA based band Widespread Panic. The album was recorded during a show in November 2003 in Myrtle Beach. It was released on July 12, 2004 and was the second of three live releases in 2004 by the band. The album is almost exclusively acoustic, with four guest tracks by John Keane on pedal steel. The album presents the entire first set performed at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC on November 8, 2003 in sequence This album can be paired with the second set that would subsequently be released as their album Live at Myrtle Beach to complete the full concert. George McConnell
George McConnell is an American singer from Vicksburg, Mississippi. He has played for the bands Widespread Panic, Kudzu Kings, and Beanland. History George McConnell attended the University of Mississippi, where he was in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. In 1985, McConnell co-founded the band Beanland in Oxford, Mississippi with guitarist, Bill McCorry. After some early shuffling, the band's line-up comprised McConnell and McCrory on guitar, John Hermann on keyboards, Ron Lewis on bass, and Harry Peel on drums. The band recorded their self-titled debut album in 1991 and toured extensively around the south and southwest, playing blues-oriented rock as part of the nascent early 1990s Jam band renaissance. John Hermann
John "JoJo" Hermann (born July 18, 1962) is an American singer, musician and songwriter, best known for his involvement in the band Widespread Panic. Early life He was born in New York City and attended Collegiate School, where he was a classmate of actor Billy Wirth''The Dutchman'' (the Collegiate School yearbook), 1975 edition, page 33 and the journalist J. Peder Zane; he and Zane were pitchers on the school's baseball team. John Bell (musician)
John Farmer Bell (born April 14, 1962) is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and occasional mandolin player for the American rock band Widespread Panic. Bell grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where he graduated from University School in 1980. He attended the University of Georgia and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity where he, Michael Houser, and Dave Schools met while Houser was playing at an open mic night. "Panic," as Houser was nicknamed, began playing with JB and Schools at local Athens clubs, playing mostly cover songs. Bell is an active philanthropist, most notably as an advocate for SMA (spinal muscular atrophy). "Can't Find My Way Home" is a song written by Steve Winwood that was first released by Blind Faith on their 1969 album ''Blind Faith''. The song was also issued as a single B-side in some countries in 1969 and as an A-side, on the RSO label in the United States, in 1977. James Victor Chesnutt (November 12, 1964 – December 25, 2009) was an American singer-songwriter from Athens, Georgia. His first album, Little (album), ''Little'', was released in 1990. His commercial breakthrough came in 1996 with the release of ''Sweet Relief II: Gravity of the Situation'', a charity record of alternative artists covering his songs. Chesnutt released 17 albums during his career, including two produced by Michael Stipe, and a 1996 release on Capitol Records, ''About to Choke''.
