Fredrikstad
Fredrikstad (; previously ''Frederiksstad''; literally "Fredrik's Town") is a List of cities in Norway, city and Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Østfold Counties of Norway, county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Fredrikstad. The city of Fredrikstad was founded in 1567 by Frederick II of Denmark, King Frederick II, and established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see ''formannskapsdistrikt''). The rural municipality of Glemmen was merged with Fredrikstad on 1 January 1964. The rural municipalities of Borge, Østfold, Borge, Onsøy, Kråkerøy, and Rolvsøy were merged with Fredrikstad on 1 January 1994. The city straddles the river Glomma where it meets the Skagerrak, about from the Sweden border. Along with neighboring Sarpsborg, Fredrikstad forms the fifth largest city in Norway: Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg. Moss is a coastal List of cities in Norway, town and a Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Østfold Counties of Norway, county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Moss. The city of Moss was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt) and City in 1720. The rural municipality of Jeløy was merged with the city on 1 July 1943. The former municipality of Rygge was merged into it on 1 January 2020. Its administrative district covers areas east of the town, such as the island of Dillingøy in the lake Vansjø. Parts of the town are located on the peninsula of Jeløy. The city of Moss has 30,723 inhabitants (2012). Name The Old Norse form of the name was . It may be derived from an old root ''mer-'' which means to "divide" or "split". Sarpsborg ( or ), historically Borg, is a List of cities in Norway, city and Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Østfold Counties of Norway, county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Sarpsborg. Sarpsborg is part of the fifth List of continuously built-up areas in Norway by population, largest urban area in Norway when paired with neighbouring Fredrikstad. As of 1 January 2018, according to Statistics Norway these two municipalities have a total population of 136,127 with 55,840 in Sarpsborg and 81,278 in Fredrikstad. Statistics for 2021, say that the city has a population where 19% of the children belong to families that have "low-income in the long-term"; that is the highest level for a city (in Norway); the national level is 11.3%. Halden (), between 1665 and 1928 known as Fredrikshald, is both a List of cities in Norway, town and a Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Østfold Counties of Norway, county, Norway. The municipality borders Sarpsborg to the northwest, Rakkestad to the north and Aremark to the east, as well as the Sweden, Swedish municipalities Strömstad Municipality, Strömstad, Tanum Municipality, Tanum and Dals-Ed Municipality, Dals-Ed respectively to the southwest, south and southeast. Southern And Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority
The South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority () is the largest of the four regional health authority (Norway), regional health authorities in Norway. It covers the counties of Akershus, Agder, Buskerud, Innlandet, Oslo, Telemark, Vestfold and Østfold, with 57% of the total population in Norway. The authority owns ten health trusts that operate the hospitals as well as the Hospital Pharmacy Enterprise that operates seventeen pharmacies and Sykehuspartner Trust that operates the information technology systems. The authority is subordinate to the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services and was created on 1 June 2007 when Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority and Southern Norway Regional Health Authority merged.
