Division 1 (bandy)
Division 1 is the third level in the Swedish bandy league system, league system of bandy in Sweden and comprises 60 Sweden, Swedish bandy teams in six groups. The level was founded in 1931 as Sweden's first level, and became the second from the 1981/1982 season and the third from the 2007/2008. Season structure The season consist of six groups with ten teams each. Each team plays against the other twice, resulting in 18 rounds. The first two teams in each group qualifies for a play-off round robin tournament against the last teams of Allsvenskan (bandy), Allsvenskan. The last team in each group is relegated to the Division 2 (bandy), Division 2. Östersund Arena
Östersund Arena is a multi-purpose venue in Östersund, Sweden. The arena can be used for curling, ice hockey, field hockey, figure skating, gymnastics. The arena opened in 2013, and replaced the Z-hallen for the Östersunds IK ice hockey team. Arena The arena accommodates two ice hockey fields, a gymnasium, a restaurant and an artificially frozen outdoor bandy rink. The stadium is located to the north-west of Östersund near to the Östersund Ski Stadium and the Jämtkraft Arena football stadium. The "A Hall" can accommodate 2,700 spectators for ice hockey games, including approximately 2,100 seats. The attendance record of 2,700 people was set of 24 January 2015 when Östersunds IK played Huddinge IK, and the match ended 2–0 to Östersunds IK. The gymnastics hall is nearly in area and in height. Östersund (; ) is an Urban areas in Sweden, urban area (Stad (Sweden), city) in Jämtland in northern Sweden. It is the seat of Östersund Municipality and the capital of Jämtland County. Ope IF
Ope IF is a Swedish football club located in Ope near Östersund in Jämtland. Background Ope Idrottsförening is a sports club near Östersund that was founded on 30 January 1922. Football is the main activity today but in the past the club has also specialised in Nordic skiing, bandy and gymnastics. The bandy department was made its own club in 1974, called Östersunds BS. Since their foundation Ope IF has participated mainly in the upper and middle divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club's heyday was in the 1970s and the first half of the 1980s when they played in Division 2, which at that time was the second tier of Swedish football. In 1993 the club played one season in Division 1, which also represented second-tier football at that time. Allsvenskan (; ), also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan (, ) is a professional association football league in Sweden and the highest level of the Swedish football league system. Founded in 1924, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan, the second highest league in the Swedish football, Swedish men's football league system.
