Óčko (formerly stylized as Òĉko) is the first Czech Republic, Czech music television channel, which started broadcasting in 2002. The majority of the audience are teenagers and people from the 12–35 age group. The channel plays Music video, music videos of all different genres including the latest hits. Apart from regular charts, there are special shows which concentrate only on certain Music genre, music styles. The program also includes live concerts of Czech as well as foreign singers and bands. There is a big emphasis on interactivity. Up to 8 hours a day, the program is influenced by the viewers, who can either use email or SMS to vote for songs. Óčko was also one of the first Czech television channels, which started fully broadcasting online. Internet users can therefore watch this channel for free and choose the video quality to suit their connection speed. The best quality offers streaming video in 1.3 MB/s. Television In The Czech Republic
Television was introduced in Czechoslovakia in 1953. Experimental projects with DVB-T started in 2000. Finally on 21 October 2005, multiplex A (DVB-T) was launched with three channels of Czech Television and one of TV Nova and radio channels of Czech Radio. On 12 April 2006, six digital terrestrial television licenses were awarded to commercial broadcasters. The receivers of the licenses were: Z1, TV Pohoda, Regionální televizni agentura (RTA), Febio TV, TV Barrandov and Óčko. However, because of delays some projects lost investors and will not start (e.g. Fabio, Pohoda) or were cancelled. Z1 provided a news service in from 2008 to January 2011, when it ceased broadcasting. Óčko delivers a music service. TV Barrandov provides general programming services. Lenny Trčková (born August 5, 1978) is a Czech radio presenter, TV presenter and model. She lives in Prague. She hosts ''Host Óčka'' ("Ocko's guest") and ''Inbox'' TV shows on Czech music channel Óčko. She also hosts ''I.D.'' and ''Ranní kuropění - Wake up call'' shows on Czech Radio station ČRo 4 Radio Wave. Biography Trčková was born in Slavičín, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic), where she also studied in and graduated from secondary school, with a major in economics.
