Însurăței (formerly known as ''Pârdăleni'') is a List of cities in Romania, town located in Brăila County, Muntenia, Romania. The town administers three villages: Lacu Rezii, Măru Roșu, and Valea Călmățuiului. The latter was called ''Rubla'' during Socialist Republic of Romania, Communist rule and housed political offenders who were obliged to live there. It officially became a town in 1989, as a result of the Romanian rural systematization program. The town lies in the Bărăgan Plain, a steppe plain in the eastern part of the Wallachian Plain. Însurăței is located in the southern part of the county, from the county seat, Brăila. It is crossed by Roads in Romania, national road DN21, linking the Danube port of Brăila with Călărași. Romanian Rural Systematization Program
The Romanian rural systematization program was a Social engineering (political science), social engineering program undertaken by Nicolae Ceaușescu's Socialist Republic of Romania, Romania primarily at the end of the 1980s. The legal framework for this program was established as early as 1974, but it only began in earnest in March 1988, after the Romanian authorities renounced most favoured nation status and the American human rights scrutiny which came with it. The declared aim of this program was to eliminate the differences between urban and rural, by the means of razing half of Romania's 13,000 villages and moving their residents into hundreds of new "agro-industrial centers" by 2000. The program gained notoriety in Europe, with protests from multiple countries – chiefly Hungary – as well as a Belgian-led initiative to save the Romanian villages by "adopting" them. Miroslav Giuchici (born 18 April 1954) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a midfielder. His son who was also named Miroslav Giuchici was also a footballer. Corneliu (Cornel) Coposu () (20 May 1914 – 11 November 1995) was a Christian Democratic and liberal conservative Romanian politician, the founder of the Christian Democratic National Peasants' Party (), the founder of the Romanian Democratic Convention (), and a political detainee during the communist regime. Collectivization In Romania
__NOTOC__ The collectivization of agriculture in Romania took place in the early years of the Communist regime. The initiative sought to bring about a thorough transformation in the property regime and organization of labor in agriculture. According to some authors, such as US anthropologist David Kideckel, agricultural collectivization was a "response to the objective circumstances" in postwar Romania, rather than an ideologically motivated enterprise. The working class is a subset of employees who are compensated with wage or salary-based contracts, whose exact membership varies from definition to definition.
