Éric Troncy
Éric Troncy (born 1965) is a French curator and art critic who works and lives in Dijon, France, he co-directs the Contemporary Art Museum, Le Consortium, in Dijon, Burgundy. He is co-founder and director of the contemporary art magazine ''Documents sur l'art'' (1992–2000) with Nicolas Bourriaud, and of '' Frog Magazine'' (2008 - ) with Stephanie Moisdon. Life and career Born in Nevers, Troncy studied at the École du Louvre and then on to École des hautes études en sciences sociales. In 1991 he curated the exhibition No Man's Time a 'key' group exhibition of fine art of the early-1990s which has become a 'well-known historical show'. Between 1997 and 2003 he curated the trilogy ''Dramatically Different'', ''Weather Everything'' and ''Coollustre'', described by Troncy, as an "exposition d'auteur" (as one would say "un film d'auteur"), the exhibition is curated as a succession of scenes in which the actors and landscapes are the works themselves. Curator
A curator (from , meaning 'to take care') is a manager or overseer. When working with cultural organizations, a curator is typically a "collections curator" or an "exhibitions curator", and has multifaceted tasks dependent on the particular institution and its mission. ''Les Inrockuptibles'' (), abbreviated as ''Les Inrocks'', is a French cultural magazine. Started as a monthly in 1986, it became weekly in 1995. As of 2021, it returned to a monthly format. Prix Fondation D'entreprise Ricard
The Ricard Prize (or Prix Ricard S.A.) was founded in 1999 and in 2006 its name changed to Prix Fondation d’Entreprise Ricard. The prize is awarded each year during the Parisian art fair FIAC by a committee of French collectors (friends of the Centre Pompidou, Jeu de Paume, Palais de Tokyo, and FRAC Nord-Pas-de-Calais) to an artist under forty featured in an annual group show curated by a different curator each year. The Prize consists of buying an artwork for 10,000 euros minimum from the prize winner, which is then donated to the Musée National d'Art Moderne (Centre Pompidou) to be part of their permanent collection. Élisabeth Lebovici
Élisabeth Lebovici (born 1953) is a French art historian, journalist, and art critic. Biography Élisabeth Lebovici completed her studies in Paris and New York, where she was enrolled in the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art. In 1983, she defended her thesis ''L'Argent dans le discours des artistes américains, 1980-81'' [Money in the discourse of American artists, 1980-81] at the Paris West University Nanterre La Défense, Université Paris X. In 1991, she joined the staff of the French newspaper Libération, where she worked until 2006. She was previously editor-in-chef of the magazine ''Beaux Arts ''and contributed as well to the journal ''art press''.
