Éric Losfeld
Éric Losfeld (Mouscron, 9 March 1922 – Paris, 18 November 1979) was a Belgian-born French publisher who had a reputation for publishing controversial material with his publishing imprint Éditions Le Terrain Vague. He was the publisher of '' Emmanuelle'' (1967), two film magazines ''( Midi Minuit Fantastique'' and ) founded by Ado Kyrou. Jean Van Hamme (born 16 January 1939) is a Belgian novelist and comic book writer. He has written scripts for a number of Belgian/French comic series, including ''Histoire sans héros'', '' Thorgal'', '' XIII'' and ''Largo Winch''. Biography Early years After studying business administration at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, he worked as a journalist and in the marketing department of Philips. In the meantime, he started writing, and one of his first scripts was adapted by Paul Cuvelier in 1968. This erotic comic named ''Epoxy'' was published by the controversial publisher Éric Losfeld, who prior to that also had published similarly themed comics like Jean-Claude Forest's '' Barbarella'' and Robert Gigi's '' Scarlett Dream''. Caza (), the pseudonym of Philippe Cazaumayou (; born 14 November 1941), is a French comics artist. Biography At 18, Cazaumayou started a career in advertising which lasted for ten years, but in 1970 he entered the field of bandes dessinées, releasing his first album, ''Kris Kool''. Caza began to publish work in ''Pilote'' magazine, starting with his series ''Quand les costumes avaient des dents'' (''When Costumes had Teeth'') in 1971, followed by other short work. The series of stories ''Scènes de la vie de banlieue'' (''Scenes of Suburban Life'') was published in 1975, followed by the ''L'Âge d'Ombre'' stories, ''Les Habitants du crépuscule'' and ''Les Remparts de la nuit''.
