Éric Fanis
Éric Andre Fanis (born December 30, 1971) is a former St. Lucian footballer who represented the Saint Lucia national football team. Playing career Fanis had a stint with the Caribbean Stars in the Canadian International Soccer League in 1995. During his tenure with the Stars he won the 1996/1997 CISL Indoor Championship. In 1997, he signed with Foresta Suceava in Romania, and appeared in 22 matches and recorded three goals for the club. Saint Lucia is an island country of the West Indies in the eastern Caribbean. Caribbean Stars
Caribbean Stars Soccer Club was a professional soccer club in the Greater Toronto Arena, Canada, which evolved to a news and sports website. Its inception was in 1995 as a founding member of the Canadian International Soccer League (CISL). In 2006, Caribbean Stars returned to the professional scene with the launching of the Caribbean Selects franchise which competed in the Canadian Soccer League (CSL). The team played their home games at Birchmount Stadium in Toronto, Ontario. After one season in the CSL, and finishing in the bottom half of the International Division the team ceased operations. Foresta Fălticeni (also known as ''Foresta Suceava'') was a Romanian professional football club from Fălticeni, Suceava County, Romania, founded in 1954 as ''Avântul Fălticeni'' and subsequently dissolved in 2003. History The club was founded in 1954 in Fălticeni under the name of ''Avântul Fălticeni''. Foresta was the first team representing Divizia C that played in a Romanian Cup final which was lost with 0–6 against Steaua București at the end of the 1966–67 season. 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification – CONCACAF First Round
The first round of qualifying matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in the CONCACAF section featured the 22 teams ranked 14 to 35 on the FIFA ranking for CONCACAF as of May 2007. The teams ranked 14th to 24th were randomly drawn against the teams ranked 25th to 35th. The draw took place on 25 November 2007 in Durban, South Africa. The top 13 CONCACAF teams received a bye and advanced directly to the second round.
