Oetrange (, ) is a small town in the commune of Contern, in south-eastern Luxembourg. , the town has a population of 985. The town is served by Oetrange railway station, which lies on CFL Line 30. Geography Oetrange is located in the Syredal, between the towns of Schrassig in the north and Moutfort in the south. Further neighbouring villages are the clock, Canach, Greveldange, Bous, Ersrange, and Sandweiler . The N2, the main connecting road between Remich and the city, runs 2 kilometers south along the village. Nevertheless, a large part of the German border traffic passes through the bus lanes through Oetrange to get to work in the city. Contern
Contern ( ) is a commune and town in southern Luxembourg. It is located east of Luxembourg City. As of 2024 the commune has a population of 4,513 whereas the town itself, which lies in the south-west of the commune, has a population of 1,876. The main towns are Contern, Moutfort and Oetrange and there are two small villages, Medingen and Milbech. Additionally the commune contains the lieux-dits of Bricherhaff, Brichermillen, Kréintgeshaff, Kackerterhaff (which means "cockerel farm" in Luxembourgish), Éitermillen, Marxeknupp and Pleitrange. The commune also contains the industrial zones of Chaux de Contern, and Rosswenkel, as well as the activity zone of Weiergewan. The town dates back to around the 9th century and was initially economically focused on farming. Eitermillen
Éitermillen (French language, French: Oetrange-Moulin), is a settlement and lieu-dit centred around a former mill near Moutfort in the Commune of Contern in Luxembourg. It is located on the E29 main road. Éitermillen is elevated 265 metres above sea level and is in post code area L-5331. History Éitermillen as a settlement dates back to the 19th century. Oetrange-Moulin is listed in the 1890 census as a locality having a population of 8. Eitermillen was later mentioned in a decree in 1894 allowing for the path between Éitermillen and Kackerterhaff to see maintenance at the cost of 200 Luxembourgish Franc, Luxembourgish Francs. Remich ( ) is a commune with town status in south-eastern Luxembourg with a population of 4,101 inhabitants . It is situated in the canton of the same name. Remich lies on the left bank of the river Moselle, which forms part of the border between Luxembourg and Germany. The commune is the smallest in Luxembourg by surface area. Sandweiler (; ) is a commune and town in southern Luxembourg. It is located east of Luxembourg City.
