Édgar Crespo
Edgar Roberto Crespo EcheverrÃa (born 11 May 1989 in Panama City, Panama) is a Panamanian swimmer, who has been representing Panama in swimming competitions around the world. Studies at Texas Christian University Edgar Crespo was a top swimmer at the college level. He received a scholarship as student/athlete to Texas Christian University. While he was in college he competed in events for both the university and his country. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (International Marketing and Entrepreneurship Management). Season 2008–2009 During this season he stopped competing in college level swim meets in order to focus on his studies but did represent his county in meets from August 2008 to July 2009. 2009 Bolivarian Games
The XVI Bolivarian Games (Spanish: ''Juegos Bolivarianos'') were a multi-sport event held in 2009 in Sucre, Bolivia. The competitions in Sucre took place from 15–26 November. A number of Bolivian cities hosted some of the sporting events, including Cochabamba, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Santa Cruz and Tarija, Bolivia, Tarija. Also, events were held outside of Bolivia, with Guayaquil, Lima, Quito and Salinas, Ecuador, Salinas hosting a number of competitions. The VIII Central American Games (''Spanish: VIII Juegos Deportivos Centroamericanos'') was a multi-sport event that took place between 3 and 12 March 2006. The games were initially scheduled between 9 and 18 December 2005 in Guatemala with support of El Salvador. However, the damages caused by Hurricane Stan in October 2005 led to the resignment of the designated hosts. Therefore, a minor and descentralized version of the games was organized with venues distributed in all participating five countries with local opening ceremonies being the main took place in Managua. The Central American Games () are a multi-sport regional championships event, held quadrennial (every 4 years), typically in the first year after Summer Olympics. The Games are open for member federations of the Central American Sports Organization (Spanish: Organización Deportiva Centroamericana) ORDECA in Central American countries.
