Éder Aleixo de Assis (; born 25 May 1957) is a Brazilian former association football, footballer. He played as a Forward (association football)#Winger, left winger, and as a Forward (association football), forward, most notably with Clube Atlético Mineiro, Atlético Mineiro in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Campeonato Brasileiro and with the Brazil national football team, Brazil national team. Éder Citadin Martins (born 15 November 1986), simply known as Éder (; ), is a former professional footballer who played as a forward. Born in Brazil with Italian ancestry, Éder moved to Italy at age 19, where he spent most of his professional career (from 2006 to 2018). He began his career with Brazilian club Criciúma, and moved to Italian club Empoli in January 2006, spending most of his career in the country for clubs such as Empoli, Sampdoria and Inter Milan. In 2018, he moved to China, joining Inter Milan's sister club Jiangsu Suning. Following the club's dissolution in 2021, he returned to Brazil, joining São Paulo. Éder Guterres Silveira (born 7 October 1977), known as Éder or Éder Gaúcho, is a Brazilian retired footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Born in São Borja, Rio Grande do Sul, Gaúcho started his professional career with Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense. In 2000, he moved abroad, joining U.D. Leiria of Portugal, where he remained two seasons. Éder stayed in the country afterwards, transferring to Boavista F.C. with the aid of an investment fund, which signed a portion of the player's rights and received a portion of any future transfer fee.
