Çayırova is a municipality and district of Kocaeli Province, Turkey. Its area is 23 km2, and its population is 150,792 (2022). The district Çayırova was created in 2008 from part of the district of Gebze, along with the districts Darıca and Dilovası. The mayor is Bünyamin Çi̇ftçi̇ (AK Party). AK Party
The Justice and Development Party ( , AK PARTİ), abbreviated officially as AK Party in English, is a political party in Turkey self-describing as conservative-democratic. It has been the ruling party of Turkey since 2002. Third-party sources often refer to the party as national conservative, social conservative, right-wing populist and as espousing neo-Ottomanism. Gebze (), formerly known as Libyssa, is a municipality and district of Kocaeli Province, Turkey. Its area is 418 km2, and its population is 407,019 (2022). It is situated 65 km (30 mi) southeast of Istanbul, on the Gulf of Izmit, the eastern arm of the Sea of Marmara. Darıca (, from the Byzantine Greek, Byzantine τὰ Ῥίτζιον) is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Kocaeli Province, Turkey.
