Limanköy, Çayeli
Limanköy is a neighbourhood of the town Çayeli, Çayeli District, Rize Province, northeastern Turkey. Its population is 885 (2021). Infrastructure Limanköy consists of two boathouses, a harbor, two swimming areas, and a beach. Next to the coast is a highway, which stretches for 2.5 km (1.5 miles). Three mosques are there: the Hamuda, Merkez, and Darlik Mosques. Etymology Limanköy was formerly known as Artotil during the Ottoman Empire. In present-day it is referred to as Limanköy, which means port village. It is also argued that Limanköy transformed from ''Liman-Koy'', which means bay-port. Geography It is situated six kilometers West of central Cayeli, lying east of Büyük Caferpaşa and south of Demirhisar and Akpınar, Kırşehir. Rize Province
Rize Province () is a province of northeast Turkey, on the eastern Black Sea coast between Trabzon and Artvin. The province of Erzurum is to the south. Its area is 3,835 km2, and its population is 344,016 (2022). The capital is the city of Rize. It was formerly known as Lazistan, however the designation of the term of Lazistan was officially banned in 1926. The province is home to Turkish, Laz, Hemshin and Georgian communities. The Nationalist Movement Party, or alternatively translated as Nationalist Action Party (, MHP), is a Turkish Far-right politics, far-right, ultranationalism, ultranationalist Political parties in Turkey, political party.
