Ã…ssiden Idrettsforening (nicknamed "Ã…ssia") is a Norwegian sports club from Drammen, Buskerud. It has sections for association football and handball, and skiing, previously also bandy. It was founded in 1937. Ã…ssiden was initially a part of Lier but was subsequently incorporated into the Drammen municipality. The men's football team currently plays in 3. divisjon, the fourth tier of the Norwegian football league system, since their promotion from the 2019 4. divisjon. Lier is a Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Buskerud Counties of Norway, county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Lierbyen. The Norwegian football league system, or pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Norway. 2017 system in men's football , the current national league system administered by the NFF is organised as 1–1–2–6, where Eliteserien is the highest level and the First Division the second tier, followed by two groups in the third tier ( Second Division) and 6 regional groups in the fourth tier ( Third Division). Åssiden is the largest borough of Drammen in Buskerud Counties of Norway, county, Norway. Åssiden was a part of Lier, Norway, Lier municipality until 1951, when it became part of Drammen municipality. Åssiden is located on the western side of Drammen, north of the Drammenselva. Historically Åssiden was the location through which lumber was transported via Drammenselva into the city. Åssiden Elvepark is a park which was built on old landfill sites by the Drammenselva. Åssiden is the location of the vocational school, Åssiden Upper Secondary School (''Åssiden videregående skole''). Drammen () is a city and municipality in Buskerud county, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway.
