Älymystö
Älymystö is a Finnish noise/ambient/industrial band which was formed in 2002 by the composer Ilmari Haapanen and the vocalist/lyricist Timo Vuorensola. After the preliminary recordings the lineup was joined by Janos Honkonen (theremin) and Risto Paalanen (guitar). With this core lineup Älymystö has published two studio albums and one EP. Currently the lineup includes also Laura Savisalo (cello) and the Farmakon bassist/vocalist Marko Eskola, who are also performing in the latest release, a split vinyl album that will be released by the end of the year 2009. Musically Älymystö mixes pure noise into industrial rhythms and ambient soundscapes. The band has toured in Finland, Russia and the Baltic countries. In Finland the band members arranged a recurring club called Vainohulluus, which was dedicated for industrial, noise and experimental music. Timo Vuorensola
Timo Vuorensola (; born 29 November 1979) is a People of Finland, Finnish film director, singer and actor. He has directed ''Star Wreck'' movies ''Star Wreck V: Lost Contact'', and ''Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning'', created by Samuli Torssonen. Vuorensola plays Lieutenant Dwarf in the films. He also directed the film ''Iron Sky'' and its sequel, ''Iron Sky: The Coming Race, The Coming Race''. He is also the lead vocalist and co-founder of dark industrial band Älymystö. Timo is prepping darkly comic action thriller "Killtown" which is being introduced to the market by Brilliant Pictures. Lex Karpela
The 2005 amendment to the Finnish Copyright Act and Criminal Code, commonly known as Lex Karpela, was an amendment to make the Finnish copyright legislation and criminal code comply with the EU Copyright Directive 2001/29/EC. It was presented to the President of Finland by Culture Minister Tanja Karpela. The amendment was accepted by the Finnish parliament in a vote on 5 October 2005. It came into effect on 1 January 2006. Scorn (band)
Scorn is an English electronic music project. The group was formed in the early 1990s as a project of former Napalm Death members Mick Harris and Nic Bullen. Bullen left the group in 1995, and the project continued on a solo project for Harris until 1997. Scorn was relaunched in 2000 and operated until the end of 2011. Harris restarted the project, once again, in 2019, but stopped it in late 2022. History Scorn was formed in 1991 in Birmingham by drummer Mick Harris and vocalist/bassist Nic Bullen, former members of the grindcore band Napalm Death. Upon Bullen's departure in April 1995, Harris remained the only member of the project. Farmakon (band)
Farmakon was a Finnish progressive death metal band formed in 2001. The band was made up of Toni Salminen (guitarist/vocalist), Marko Eskola (vocalist) and Pekka Kauppila (bass guitarist). The band released two studio albums. The band used both clean and growling vocals and incorporated jazz and funk elements into their music. Farmakon's first album, '' A Warm Glimpse'', was released in 2003, and the opening track, "Loosely of Ameobas" was included on Earache's "Metal: A Headbanger's Companion II" compilation. ''Robin'', the band's second album, was released on February 21, 2007, and in America on April 29, 2008.
