Ângelo Angelin
Ângelo Angelin (January 21, 1935 – July 3, 2017) was a Brazilian academic and politician who served as the second Governor of Rondônia, Governor of the state of Rondônia from May 13, 1985, until March 15, 1987. Angelin, who held the state governorship during Brazil's transition from Brazilian military government, military rule to democracy, was the last appointed Governor of Rondônia before the introduction of direct elections for the office in 1987. Angelin was known as a strong supporter of List of municipalities in Rondônia, Rondônia's municipal governments during his two-year term. Angelin was serving in the Legislative Assembly of Rondônia when he was appointed Governor of Rondônia by President of Brazil, Brazilian President José Sarney in 1985 during the country's transition to civilian rule.
