Árpád Szarvas
Árpád Szarvas is a musician, best known as the lead singer, songwriter, lyricist, guitarist of EZ Basic. Early life and personal life Szarvas is from Szabadka and lived in Szeged, Hungary, however, he moved to the capital city, Budapest after graduating at Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Szeged to pursue a music career. EZ Basic Szarvas played guitar in Pale Blue Eyes, a Szeged-based noise rock band while attending the secondary school. The band played music influenced by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Sonic Youth, and Joy Division. However, he left the band and formed EZ Basic with his friend Dénes Pesztalics. Szarvas was influenced by bands such as The Jesus and Mary Chain, House of Love, Primal Scream, and Broadcast. He is the founding member of EZ Basic. Apart from EZ Basic, he also released music under the name Evil Men Have No Songs and Models Can't Fuck. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand in the early to mid-1980s. Although the term was originally used to describe rock music released through independent record labels, by the 1990s it became more widely associated with the music such bands produced. The sound of indie rock has its origins in the New Zealand Dunedin sound of the Chills, Tall Dwarfs, the Clean and the Verlaines, and early 1980s college rock radio stations who would frequently play jangle pop bands like the Smiths and R.E.M. The genre solidified itself during the mid–1980s with ''NME''s ''C86'' cassette in the United Kingdom and the underground success of Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr. and Unrest (band), Unrest in the United States. Primal Scream
Primal Scream are a Scottish rock music, rock band originally formed in 1982 in Glasgow by Bobby Gillespie (vocals) and Jim Beattie (musician), Jim Beattie (guitar). The band's current lineup consists of Gillespie, Andrew Innes (guitar), Simone Butler (bass), and Darrin Mooney (drums). Primal Scream had been performing live from 1982 to 1984, but their career did not take off until Gillespie left his position as drummer of The Jesus and Mary Chain. The band were a key part of the mid-1980s indie pop scene, but eventually moved away from their jangly sound, taking on more psychedelic music, psychedelic and garage rock influences, before incorporating a dance music element to their sound with their 1991 album ''Screamadelica'', which broke them into the mainstream. Electro-Harmonix (also commonly referred to as EHX) is a New York City-based company that makes electronic audio processors and sells rebranded vacuum tubes. The company was founded by Mike Matthews in 1968. It is best known for a series of guitar effects pedals introduced in the 1970s and 1990s. EHX also made a line of guitars in the 1970s. An archtop electric guitar manufactured by Matsumoku and sold 1970 to 1974 or '75 in the United States under the Epiphone brand.
