ﾃ］gela Becerra Acevedo (July 17, 1957) is a Colombian writer. She has won several awards such as the Premio Fernando Lara de Novela in 2019 (Fernando Lara Novel Award), the Planeta-Casa de Amﾃｩrica Award ( Premio Planeta - Casa de Amﾃｩrica) in 2009, the Azorﾃｭn Prize (Premio Azorﾃｭn) in 2005 and four Chicago Latin Literary Awards, as well as the Premio Iberoamericano Planeta-Casa de Amﾃｩrica de Narrativa. Her works have been translated into 23 languages and published in more than 50 countries. She is one of the most widely read Spanish-speaking authors, the most read Colombian writer after Gabriel Garcﾃｭa Mﾃ｡rquez, and considered the creator of the Magical Idealism. ''El Espectador'' () is a nationally circulated Colombian newspaper founded by Fidel Cano Gutiﾃｩrrez in 1887 in Medellﾃｭn and published since 1915 in Bogotﾃ｡. It was initially published twice a week, 500 issues each, but some years later became a daily paper. As the oldest newspaper in Colombia still in circulation'', El Espectador'' is considered a newspaper of record for Colombia and a home for prominent writers, including the 1982 Nobel Prize Laurete Gabriel Garcﾃｭa Mﾃ｡rquez. It is a member of the Inter American Press Association and the Asociaciﾃｳn de Diarios Colombianos (ANDIARIOS). It defined itself as a "political, literary, news, and industrial newspaper". Betsabﾃｩ Espinal
Betsabﾃｩ Espinal (1896 窶 16 November 1932), also erroneously known as Betsabﾃｩ Espinosa or Espinoza, was a Colombian labor rights activist and leader of a 1920 workers' strike against a fabric factory in Bello, Colombia. Although not the first strike in Colombian history, it was the first strike led by women. The strike was considered to have made a significant impact on the rights of female workers thereafter. There are few details about her life before and after the strike. A school in Barranquilla, Colombia was named after her called I.E.D. Betsabﾃｩ Espinosa. 1920 strike The 1920 Bello strike was the first strike in Colombia with the official label of ''huelga'' ("strike", as opposed to the word ''paro'' used in previous strikes). Prior to the strike, female laborers as young as eight years old worked at the factory, a typical work day was over 12 hours, and the women were forced to work barefoot. In literature, psychological fiction (also psychological realism) is a narrative genre that emphasizes interior characterization and motivation to explore the spiritual, emotional, and mental lives of its characters.
