Ánima Estudios, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (stylized and also known as ÁNiMA, formerly ánima) is a Mexican animation studio and production company founded in 2002 by Jose C. Garcia De Letona and Federico Unda. ''Anima'' is a tabletop role-playing franchise developed by Spain-based company Anima Game Studio. The fantasy setting of ''Anima'' is called Gaïa. ''Anima'' draws significant inspiration from Japanese role-playing video games like ''Final Fantasy'', ''Dragon Quest'' and ''Suikoden.'' The game combines elements of Eastern culture, Eastern fantasy, such as manga-like art, Ethical code, honor codes, mysticism, and martial arts, with elements of Western culture, Western fantasy, such as medieval arms. Tabletop games Anima: Beyond Fantasy The tabletop role-playing game that started the franchise was originally published by Edge Entertainment in 2005. Translations A French translation was published in France in 2007 by UbIK, a French company that merged with Edge Entertainment. A Spanish version was published in 2008. An English translation of Anima was published in October 2008 by the American company Fantasy Flight Games (FFG) and is still included in FFG's games catalog.

Animashree (Anima) Anandkumar is the Bren Professor of Computing at California Institute of Technology. Previously, she was a senior director of Machine learning, Machine Learning research at Nvidia, NVIDIA and a principal scientist at Amazon Web Services. Her research considers Tensor algebra, tensor-algebraic methods, deep learning and non-convex problems. Education and early career Anandkumar was born in Mysore. Her parents are both engineers, and her grandfather was a mathematician. Her great-great-grandfather was the Sanskrit scholar R. Shamasastry. She began to study Bharatanatyam and she learnt this style of dancing for many years. She studied electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and graduated in 2004. Anima Sound System is a Hungary, Hungarian electronic band founded in 1993 in Szombathely. ''Anima'' is one of the first and most important Hungarian electronic acts, a unique fusion of Eastern-European folk music and modern electronic styles. The band is currently signed to the Mole Listening Pearls record label. The band soon developed strong ties with the underground Tilos Rádió station in Budapest. Their first international performance, in 1996, took place in Vienna at "Soundsfair Festival", (as the only Eastern-European act) along with bands like Red Snapper (band), Red Snapper, Goldie and Nightmares on Wax. Anima is a Danish animal rights organization founded in 2000. Its core focus is on factory farms and the fur industry. The organization's motto is "the organization for the rights of all animals". Anima works by organizing protests, raising awareness about animal abuse, and providing information and advice on vegan/vegetarian eating.
