Metro Davao, officially called Metropolitan Davao ( ceb, Kaulohang Dabaw; fil, Kalakhang Davao), is a metropolitan area in the Mindanao island group, Philippines. It includes the cities of Davao City, Digos, Mati, Panabo, Samal and Tagum and spanned parts of all five provinces of Davao Region. Metro Davao is one of three metropolitan areas in the Philippines. It is administered by Metropolitan Davao Development Authority. It is the largest metropolitan region by land area and the second most populous in the Philippines. List Of Metropolitan Areas In The Philippines
The Philippines has three metropolitan areas, as defined by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). Metro Manila is the largest conurbation or urban agglomeration in the country, and its territory comprises the City of Manila, 15 neighboring cities, and the municipality of Pateros. Metro Davao in Mindanao is the Philippines' second most populous urban area and the country's largest by total land area, while Metro Cebu in the Visayas is the third most populous. The official definition of each area does not necessarily follow the actual extent of continuous urbanization. Sulop
Sulop, officially the Municipality of Sulop ( ceb, Lungsod sa Sulop; tl, Bayan ng Sulop), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Davao del Sur, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 35,151 people. History The name Sulop, derived from native languages, means "swampy place surrounded by second growth forest" and "habitat of wild pigs." In the early part of the 19th century, a wave of immigrants from the Visayas Region, mostly from Cebu, came to Sulop. Padada, officially the Municipality of Padada ( ceb, Lungsod sa Padada; tl, Bayan ng Padada), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Davao del Sur, Philippines. Malalag
Malalag, officially the Municipality of Malalag ( ceb, Lungsod sa Malalag; tl, Bayan ng Malalag), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Davao del Sur, Philippines.
