Coastal Passageway
The Coastal corridor is a high-speed rail corridor running along the eastern coast of China, stretching from Dalian in the north to Fangchenggang in the south and passing through the cities of Shenyang, Qinhuangdao, Tianjin, Dongying, Weifang, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Yancheng, Nantong, Shanghai, Ningbo. Fuzhou, Xiamen, Shenzhen, and Zhanjiang. The Weifang–Qingdao stretch splits into two, one directly connecting Weifang to Qingdao, the other connecting Weifang to Qingdao through Yantai. Announced in 2016 as part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network as an expanded Hangzhou–Fuzhou–Shenzhen passenger railway from the "four vertical and four horizontal" plan. The line will comprise a mixture of high-speed railway lines, upgraded conventional rail lines and intercity railways. High-speed rail (HSR) is a type of rail system that runs significantly faster than traditional rail, using an integrated system of specialised rolling stock and dedicated tracks. While there is no single standard that applies worldwide, lines built to handle speeds above or upgraded lines in excess of are widely considered to be high-speed. Fuzhou (; , Fuzhounese: Hokchew, ''Hók-ciŭ''), alternately romanized as Foochow, is the capital and one of the largest cities in Fujian province, China. Along with the many counties of Ningde, those of Fuzhou are considered to constitute the Mindong (lit. Eastern Fujian) linguistic and cultural area. Harbin–Dalian High-speed Railway
The Harbin–Dalian high-speed railway or Hada High-Speed Railway () is a high-speed rail line connecting Harbin, Heilongjiang and Dalian, Liaoning. Construction work began on August 23, 2007 and the first commercial services began operating in December 1, 2012, nearly one year behind schedule. The line is the world's first alpine high-speed railway operating at high latitudes and low temperatures in winter. The trains can continue operating even with snow on the line and the tracks are fitted with de-icing technology. The project cost CN¥95 billion, which was 25% more than the original budget. At the time of completion, the railway was the northernmost high-speed line in China. The climate of northeast China poses a challenge to the design; parts of the line had to be rebuilt before the opening due to deformation caused by frost heaving. Dalian North Railway Station
Dalianbei (Dalian North) railway station is a railway station of the Harbin–Dalian section of the Beijing–Harbin High-Speed Railway. It is located in Dalian, in the Liaoning province of China. Construction of the station started on April 1, 2010 and the station opened to regular rail traffic in late 2012. On December 1, 2012, the station started to receive high-speed rail traffic as part of the newly opened Harbin–Dalian High-Speed Railway. The station cost 1.54 billion yuan to construct. The Dandong–Dalian intercity railway () is a high-speed line operated by China Railway High-speed within the Liaodong Peninsula of Liaoning province, connecting the coastal cities of Dandong and Dalian.
