The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is an Australian Government-owned statutory corporation. It operates one of the largest rail networks in the nation spanning 8,500km across five states, 39 worksites and more than 50 First Nations. Broadmeadow Railway Station
Broadmeadow railway station is a major regional interchange located on the Main North Line. The station itself serves the Newcastle suburb of Broadmeadow. The station was first opened on 15 August 1887. The island platform was accessed by a level crossing at the station's northern end until replaced by an underpass on 2 March 1973 opened by Minister for Transport Milton Morris. The station was upgraded to wheelchair accessibility in July 2017. Western Standard Gauge Line
The Western standard gauge railway line is a standard-gauge railway line in western Victoria, Australia. Completed in 1995, it forms part of the Melbourne–Adelaide rail corridor and serves as the principal interstate rail link between Victoria and the western states. Darwin Railway Station
Darwin railway station is the terminus station of the Adelaide-Darwin rail corridor in the Darwin suburb of East Arm, Northern Territory. The station is from Adelaide Parklands Terminal station, from the end of the line and by road from Darwin's city centre. In front of the station building is a paved area long, but sealed hardstanding extends for a kilometre (1100 yards) to accommodate all carriages of the train on the single track. David Marchant AM (born November 1954) is an Australian railway executive. Biography Marchant was born in November 1954 in Grafton, New South Wales, Australia. His early career included a period as advisor to former New South Wales Premier Neville Wran.
