Frankie & Benny's (also known informally as Frankie's) is a chain of Italian-American-themed restaurants in the United Kingdom run by The Big Table. , it had 90 outlets nationwide. Frankie & Benny’s runs smaller outlets, trading as "Little Frankie's". These are typically smaller than full-sized restaurants, have a smaller menu and are found on high-streets and in town centres. History The first Frankie & Benny's restaurant was opened by City Centre Restaurants (since rebranded as The Restaurant Group) in 1995. In 2016, 33 under-performing restaurants were sold off. Murano is a restaurant situated in London, England. It was opened in August 2008 by chefs Angela Hartnett and Gordon Ramsay. Murano was purchased outright from Ramsay by head chef Hartnett with the handover taking place in October 2010. It was awarded one Michelin star in 2009, which has been retained ever since. Manganaro's Grosseria Italiana, commonly referred to as Manganaro's, was an Italian market and deli on Ninth Avenue in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It opened in 1893 and operated for 119 years, helping to introduce the hero sandwich to Americans. The family closed the business and put the property up for sale in 2012. The business was founded in 1893 by Ernest Petrucci as a wine and spirits store, Petrucci's Wines & Brandies, that also sold groceries. Its location at 488 Ninth Avenue near 37th Street was on a stretch of the avenue that remained lined with exotic food stores for decades. After the enactment of Prohibition in the U.S. in 1919, Petrucci's nephew James Manganaro, an immigrant from Naples, took over the store in the 1920s and changed the name; in 1927 he was able to buy the building. Locanda Locatelli was a Michelin-starred restaurant owned by Italian chef Giorgio Locatelli and his wife, Plaxy. Located in the corner of the 5-star Churchill Hotel on Seymour Street in the West End of London, the restaurant specialised in Italian cuisine. Description Locanda Locatelli opened in February 2002. The restaurant served traditional Italian dishes, with a particular emphasis on fresh pasta and regional Italian breads. There were also a variety of meat and fish dishes, as well as desserts.
