Third Party Software
In computer programming, a third-party software component is a reusable software component developed to be either freely distributed or sold by an entity other than the original vendor of the development platform. The third-party software component market is supported by the belief that component-oriented development improves efficiency and quality when developing custom applications. Common third-party software includes macros, bots, and software/scripts to be run as add-ons for popular developing software. In the case of operating systems such as Windows XP, Vista or 7, there are applications installed by default, such as Windows Media Player or Internet Explorer. Component Library For Cross Platform
Component Library for Cross Platform (CLX) (pronounced clicks), is a cross-platform visual component-based framework for developing Microsoft Windows and Linux applications. It was developed by Borland for use in its Kylix programming tool, Kylix, Delphi (programming language), Delphi, and C++ Builder software development environment. Its aim was to replace the popular Microsoft Foundation Classes with Visual Component Library (VCL). CLX was based on Qt (framework), Qt by Nokia. The Application programming interface, API of CLX almost completely followed VCL. It was envisioned that existing applications using VCL would be recompiled with CLX. The Visual Component Library (VCL) is a visual component-based object-oriented framework for developing the user interface of Microsoft Windows applications. It is written in Object Pascal.
