Haejang-guk
''Haejang-guk'' * () or hangover soup refers to every kind of '' guk'' or soup eaten as a hangover cure in Korean cuisine. It means "soup to chase a hangover" and is also called ''sulguk'' (). It usually consists of dried napa cabbage, vegetables and meat in a hearty beef broth. One type of haejangguk, seonjiguk, includes sliced congealed ox blood (similar to black pudding) and another type, sundaeguk, includes a kind of blood sausage made with intestine stuffed with pig's blood and other ingredients. History In the '' Nogeoldae'', a manual for learning spoken Chinese published in the late Goryeo dynasty (918–1392), the term ''seongjutang'' () appears. Jumak
''Jumak'' () were traditional Korean taverns or inns that provided alcohol, food, and lodgings to travellers. They are also called ''juju'' (), ''juga'' (), or ''jupo'' (). ''Jumak'' were abundant during the Joseon Dynasty and could be found in both rural and urban areas. ''Jumak'' came in many varieties with some having stables for livestock, courtyards, and gardens. Shin Yun-bok
Sin Yun-bok (; 1758–1813), better known by his art name Hyewon, was a Korean painter of the Joseon period. Like his contemporaries Danwon and Geungjae, he is known for his realistic depictions of daily life in his time. His genre paintings are distinctly more erotic than Danwon's, a fact which contributed to his expulsion from the royal painting institute, Dohwaseo. Painting was frequently a hereditary occupation in the Joseon period, and Hyewon's father and grandfather had both been court painters. Joseon ( ; ; also romanized as ''Chosun''), officially Great Joseon (), was a dynastic kingdom of Korea that existed for 505 years.
