The districts of Seoul are the twenty-five '' gu'' (districts; ) comprising Seoul, South Korea. The ''gu'' vary greatly in area (from 10 to 47 km2) and population (from less than 140,000 to 630,000), fourteen of which are located north of the Han River, and eleven south. Songpa-gu
Songpa District () is one of the List of districts of Seoul, 25 districts of Seoul, South Korea. Previously known as Wiryeseong, the first capital of the ancient kingdom of Baekje, Songpa is located in the southeastern part of Seoul. With roughly 647,000 residents, Songpa is also the largest district in Seoul by population. Songpa was at the center of 1988 Summer Olympics, and most of the sports facilities associated with that event are located within the district.
