''Reporting Live'' (sometimes stylised as ''Reporting LIVE with Stan Grant'' and formerly known as ''NewsNight'') is an Australian television news and commentary program broadcast four times weekly on Sky News Australia. Hosted by Sky News international editor Stan Grant, it first premiered as ''NewsNight'' on 28 January 2013 at 11 pm AEST, with a focus on international affairs. The program covers a range of news, as well as interviews conducted by Grant, with a "special focus on world affairs and in particular the Asian region". The program rebranded as ''Reporting Live'' from 20 January 2014 and moved to the earlier timeslot of 6 pm AEST, competing against networked Seven News and Nine News bulletins in the timeslot. It returned for a third season in 2015 and was expanded to two hours in duration from 1 June 2015, following the move of ''PVO NewsHour'' from the 7 pm AEST timetslot. ''PVO NewsDay'' (formerly titled ''PVO NewsHour'') is an Australian television news and commentary program which was broadcast 4 times weekly on Sky News Australia. The program is hosted by Peter van Onselen, whose initials in part represent the program's title. The program covers a range of news, politics, sport, weather, finance and entertainment, as well as commentary from van Onselen and other contributors. Occasionally, home viewers are invited on-air to provide opinions as part of a panel discussion. The program aired Monday through Thursday between midday and 4pm Sydney time, with an hour break in the program at 1pm (previously a half-hour break only) for a separate but related program '' To the Point'', which focuses on political news and is co-hosted by van Onselen and Kristina Keneally. Macquarie Park () is a suburb in the Northern Sydney region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Macquarie Park is located 13 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Ryde. Macquarie Park was part of the suburb of North Ryde until it was gazetted as a suburb in its own right on 5 February 1999, and many businesses still use North Ryde as the address. ''The Bolt Report'' is an Australian political discussion program hosted by conservative commentator Andrew Bolt, who focuses on conservative political and social comment in the form of opinion commentary, panel discussion and interviews. Helen Dalley
Helen Dalley (born 1957) is an Australian journalist, who formerly worked for Kerry Packer's Publishing and Broadcasting Limited (PBL) media stable. Dalley is best known for her work on the Nine Network television programs ''Sunday'', ''Today'' and '' A Current Affair''. She has also been a news presenter on Sky News Australia. Education Dalley graduated from the University of Sydney with an Arts degree with Honours in French. Print media She began her career in the print media. Jim Middleton (journalist)
Jim Middleton is an Australian journalist and was a senior advisor to former South Australian Senator Tim Storer. Middleton graduated from the University of Western Australia before joining the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) in 1970. Middleton was involved in the transformation of radio station 2JJ into the national Triple J brand, networked nationally around Australia. He served as the ABC's North America correspondent until 1988, when he became the ABC's chief political correspondent in Canberra. In 2008, Middleton left his political role in Canberra to join the Australia Network, presenting ''Newsline'' and '' The World''. Middleton took a voluntary redundancy from the ABC following the closure of the Australia Network due to funding cuts signing off on 2 September 2014. ''The Latest with Laura Jayes'' was an Australian television news and commentary program broadcast weeknights on Sky News Australia. The program was hosted by Laura Jayes until she took maternity leave in 2017. The program covers a range of news and politics, as well as interviews. Jayes has described the program as "a real point of difference in the evenings", referring to being the only female program presenter in primetime on Sky News Live. The series premiered on 18 January 2016 at 7pm AEDST replacing the last hour of ''Reporting Live'' which was cut from two hours to a single hour, airing live from Monday to Thursday. Current affairs is a genre of broadcast journalism in which major news stories are discussed at length in a timely manner. This differs from regular news broadcasts that place emphasis on news reports presented for simple presentation as soon as possible, often with a minimum of analysis. It is also different from the news magazine show format in that the events are discussed immediately.
