Naba Raj Lamsal
Dr. Naba Raj Lamsal (, born 23 July 1969) is a Nepalese poet, radio journalist, and government official. He is a director of program division of Radio Nepal. He started his poetry journey in 1984, publishing his first poem in Arunodaya paper titled ''Bandana''. Early life and education Lamsal was born and brought up in Nilkantha, Dhading in a Hindu priest family, the son of Tanka Prasad Lamsal and Hem Kumari Lamsal. He grew up listening to Sanskrit chants by his father, which influence his interest in poetry at a very young age. He moved to Kathmandu for further studies after finishing primary education in his hometown. He did his Master's Degree and PhD in Nepali Literature from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Between 1994 and 2023 A.D., he held the position of Program Director and News Chief at Radio Nepal. From 2008 to 2016 A.D., he worked as a Correspondent for the BBC Nepali Service. Nilkantha, Nepal
Nilkantha or Neelkantha is one of two Municipalities in the Dhading District of the Bagmati Province of central Nepal. The municipality is located around the center of the district and holds the majority of the population and facilities of the entire district. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014, merging with the existing places such as Nilkantha (Dhading Besi), Dhuwakot, Sunaula Bazar, Murali Bhanjyang, and Sangkosh VDC Nilkantha municipality is the most developed place of the dhading district as the economic and social conditions are greater than other parts of the district. Dhading District
Dhading District ( ), a part of Bagmati Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Dhading Besi as its district headquarters, covers an area of , had a population of 338,658 in 2001 and 336,067 in 2011. The Madan Puraskar () is a literary honor in Nepal which Madan Puraskar Guthi confers annually for an outstanding book in the Nepali language published within the calendar year. It is considered as the most prestigious literature award in Nepal. It is awarded on the day of Dashain#Day 1: Ghatasthapana, Ghatasthapana every year alongside Jagadamba Shree Puraskar. Radio Nepal
Radio Nepal () is the state-owned Radio broadcasting organisation of Nepal. It was established on 2 April 1951. Radio Nepal airs programs on shortwave, medium wave (AM broadcasting, AM) and FM broadcasting, FM frequencies. Regular broadcasts consume sixteen hours every day, including two hours of regional broadcasts. Public holidays feature an additional two hours. FM Kathmandu, the first FM channel covering Kathmandu valley and adjoining areas, was started in 1995 in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu.
