Delta Ethniki
Delta Ethniki ( el, Δ΄ Εθνική) was the fourth level of Greek football championship. During the period of its existence, it was the lowest national division of the Greek championship. It was founded in the 1982–83 season and abolished in the 2012–13 season, as it was merged with the third division (Football League 2). Its history therefore spans 31 years. Many historical clubs of first division (Super League) have played in Delta Ethniki, such as Iraklis (2011–12 season), Ethnikos Piraeus, Apollon Smyrnis and Atromitos. The clubs of Delta Ethniki were divided in groups on the basis of geographical criteria. The groups usually comprised 10 teams, though this number varied between 4 and 12 over the years. Football League 2 (Greece)
The Gamma Ethniki ( el, Γ΄ Εθνική Ερασιτεχνική Κατηγορία, C National Amateur Division) is the third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. Although not literally national (it is divided into ''North'' and ''South'' groups), Football League 2 is considered as a national division. On 3 August 2010, it was announced that the division had been renamed ''Football League 2''. From season 2013–14, the football League 2 is merged by fourth division championship (Delta Ethniki) and renamed again Gamma Ethniki. The new third division will be held in six groups, with the clubs divided basis of geographical criteria, while it will return in an amateur form. PAO Thriamvos Athinon ( el, ΠΑΟ Θρίαμβος Αθηνών) is a Greek sport club based in Athens. It was founded in 1930, originally under the name Mikrasiatiki Athens and later Doxa Athens. It has departments in football, basketball and handball. The club is based in the neighbourhood of Athens, Neos Kosmos. Because some departments of the club use the sport facilities of nearby suburb Dafni, the club is also named PAO Thriamvos Athinon/Dafnis. History The club was existed during interwar under the name Thriamvos Harokopou and Thriamvos Cynosarges. This club was dissolved during world war and the club refounded in 1967 from the merge of the clubs Phoebus Athens and Doxa Athens. Peramaikos F
Peramaikos Football Club ( el, Α.Π.Ο. Περαμαϊκός) is a Greek football club founded in 1953. History The club has spent one season (1986–1987) in the Gamma Ethniki. Nikolaos Petrakis, a businessman from Perama, became club chairman and led the club to promotion with talented players like Vallidis. After achieving promotion, Nikolaos Petrakis had health problems and left. Peramaikos were relegated to the regionalized Delta Ethniki. In Greek Cup played with Panetolikos F.C. and in this game Peramaikos lost 1–0. The last 20 years plays in Delta Ethniki. The club was nearly involved in a merger with Aias Salamina F.C. in 2009. In the 2013–14 season Peramaikos will play again in Gamma Ethniki. Panthrakikos Football Club ( el, Α.Π.Σ. Πανθρακικός) is a Greek football club based in Komotini, Thrace in North Eastern Greece founded in 1963. The club competed in Super League Greece during the 2008–09 season for the first time. History Early years (1963–2001) Panthrakikos F.C. was formed in the town of Komotini in 1963. Athlitiki Enosis Komotini (Athletic Union of Komotini) which was founded in 1936, and Orpheus Komotini which was founded in 1948 were merged with Panthrakikos in 1963 and 1964 respectively. The club participated in regional leagues until 1969, when they joined the Beta Ethniki. They stayed in this division until being relegated in 1978, but were promoted back to Beta Ethniki after a single season. They remained here until 1983. Achilleas (Αχιλλέας Καϊμακλίου) is a Cypriot basketball club founded in 1943, nowadays running basketball, volleyball and table tennis divisions. It has been a part of the community in the suburb of Kaimakli in Nicosia. The club is named after Achilles (Ἀχιλλεύς) a legendary figure of the Greek mythology. Basketball The Men's basketball division was one of the founding clubs of the Cyprus Basketball Federation. Kalamáta ( el, Καλαμάτα ) is the second most populous city of the Peloponnese peninsula, after Patras, in southern Greece and the largest city of the homonymous administrative region. Ilioupoli ( el, Ηλιούπολη, "Sun City") is a suburban municipality belongs to Central Athens regional unit and located in the central-southern part of the Athens.
