Zhengzhou BRT Route B5 is a bus rapid transit route operated by Zhengzhou Bus. Service started in 2016, it is the 4th route with dedicated bus lanes in Zhengzhou BRT. History The first section of the route, opened on 26 January 2016, is from Longhai W. Road and West 3rd Ring Road to Longhai Road and Tongtai Road. On 26 November 2016, the service was extended to Zhengzhou East railway station, and became the fastest bus service connecting west Zhengzhou and Zhengzhou East railway station. On the same day, two interval services of the route B501 and B502 were commenced, connecting Zhengzhou railway station to the route. Route The route is operated between Longhai W. Zhengzhou Bus Rapid Transit is a bus rapid transit system in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province in the People's Republic of China. The system has 5 main trunk routes with dedicated bus lanes along with a number of feeder routes that run for a portion of the corridor and serves other areas. History Construction of the first segment started in 2008 and free trial operations started on May 22, 2009. The system officially started operation on May 28, 2009 with a 30 km loop line (B1) with 38 stations. Average ridership of the system in 2014 was 700,000 passengers. It is believed that the daily ridership was approximately 1 million passengers after the opening of the first segment of the 23.7 km long 3rd Ring Road loop line (B3) on June 26, 2014. Zhengzhou BRT Route B6 was a discontinued bus rapid transit route operated by Zhengzhou Bus. History The route was commenced on 28 April 2016, together with two interval services (east interval and west interval). On 26 March 2018, the two interval services were merged into one, designated as B601. On 26 May 2019, the route together with Route B601 stopped service due to the adjustment of bus routes after the opening of Zhengzhou Metro Line 5. The Longhai Expressway () is a long elevated expressway in Zhengzhou, Henan, China. The construction of the expressway began in 2013 and was finished in 2015. The maximum speed on the expressway is 80 km/h. Route The expressway eastern terminus is at Shangdu Avenue ( G220 / G310).
