Zbigniew (also known as Zbygniew; c. 1073 – 8 July 1113?M. Spórna, P. Wierzbicki: ''Słownik władców Polski i pretendentów do tronu polskiego'', p. 501; B. Zbigniew Boniek
Zbigniew Boniek (; born 3 March 1956) is a Polish former footballer and manager as well as current UEFA vice-president. A former midfielder, who was also capable of playing mostly as a right winger and second striker, he is considered one of the greatest Polish players of all time, and was selected by Pelé as one of the 100 best living footballers in 2004. In an 80-cap international career, he scored 24 goals and played at three consecutive World Cups, helping Poland to 3rd place in 1982 and making the Team of the Tournament. Biography He is a son of Marian Buczkowski, a pilot at LOT Polish Airlines who died in a plane crash in 1951. He lived next door to a film studio where his neighbor worked as a film extra. With her help at the age of twelve he gained his first appearance as an extra in a film. In 1970 he graduated from the Technical School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Warsaw. By chance Janusz Kondratiuk cast him in his film ''Dziewczyny do wzięcia'' in 1972. After being cast in the film, Buczkowski decided to drop his profession and devote himself to acting. Zbigniew Marcin Bródka (; born 8 October 1984) is a Polish speed skater and a 2014 Olympic champion in 1500 metres. He also works as a firefighter in the State Fire Service station in Łowicz. Personal life Bródka was born in Głowno, Poland, on 8 October 1984. Since 2009, he has worked as a firefighter in the State Fire Service ( pl, Państwowa Straż Pożarna) station in Łowicz. Zbigniew Babiński
Zbigniew Juliusz Babiński (13 May 1896 – April 1940) was a Polish military and sports aviator. He was born in Sosnowiec. While in school he constructed two simple biplane gliders in 1912 and 1913 in Milanówek. The first one crashed during pilotless tests, while the second one was used for short flights by Babiński and his friends (including later aircraft designer Władysław Zalewski). There is no information available on his service during World War I, but he probably received a pilot's training and served in the air force of one of occupants of Poland. In November 1918, as Poland regained its independence, Babiński took part in disarmament of German soldiers. He then joined the Polish Air Force with a rank of Flying 2nd Lieutenant (''podporucznik pilot''). Zbigniew Seifert
Zbigniew Seifert (7 June 1946 – 15 February 1979) was a Polish jazz violinist. Seifert was born in Kraków, Poland. He played alto saxophone early in his career and was influenced by John Coltrane. He devoted himself to jazz violin when he began performing with the Tomasz Stańko Quintet in 1970, and became one of the leading modern jazz violinists. Seifert relocated to Germany in 1973, and worked with Hans Koller's Free Sound between 1974 and 1975. The following year, he performed alongside John Lewis at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Seifert later recorded with Oregon. He died of cancer at the age of 32, and is buried at Rakowicki Cemetery in Krakow. Zbigniew of Brzezie (or Zbigniew Lanckoroński) (ca. 1360 – ca. 1425) was a notable Polish knight and nobleman of Clan Zadora. Zbigniew served as Marshal of the Crown from 1399 to 1425 and starost of Kraków from 1409 to 1410. He was a diplomat and a close co-worker of King Władysław II Jagiełło. Zbigniew Bujarski
Zbigniew Bujarski (21 August 1933 – 13 April 2018) was a Polish composer. Bujarski was born on 21 August 1933 and died on 13 April 2018 in Krakow. He was born in Muszyna, Poland about 120 kilometres south-west of Krakow, and very close to the border with what is now Slovakia, and studied composition at the State College of Music in Krakow with Stanisław Wiechowicz. He was awarded an honorary mention at the Young Polish Composers' Competition organized by the Polish Composers' Union in 1961, and three years later won 2nd Prize at the Grzegorz Fitelberg Composers' Competition. He went on to teach composition at the Academy of Music in Kraków.
