Zamzam (soft Drink)
Zamzam (, ''Zemzem'', formerly Zamzam Cola) is a brand of soft drink produced in Iran by Zamzam Group. It is popular in parts of the West Asia, having gained a status there as an alternative to Coca-Cola and Pepsi. The director of the Zamzam Group is Ahmad-Haddad Moghaddam. Zamzam Group is owned by the Mostazafan Foundation. History Originally a subsidiary of Pepsi created in Iran in 1954 as the first Iranian carbonated soft drink producer owned by Habib Sabet. Following Islamic revolution in 1979, the company was taken from his original owner without compensation and the named was changed to ZamZam. Following the 2002 boycott of Coca-Cola by Saudi Arabia, Zamzam was unofficially dubbed the soft drink of the Hajj. Habib Sabet
Habib Sabet Pasal ( fa, حبیب ثابت; 1903 – 1993) was a businessman and follower of the Baháʼí Faith. Both his maternal and paternal grandparents were Iranian Jews who had converted to the Bahá’i Faith. He is considered one of Iran's major industrialists, and was also the founder of Iran's first television station. Sabet spent his remaining years in Paris, France. Sabet died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure at the age of 86. Cola is a carbonated soft drink flavored with vanilla, cinnamon, citrus oils and other flavorings. Zamzam Well
The Zamzam Well ( ar, بئر زمزم, translit=Biʾru Zamzam ) is a well located within the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is located east of the Kaʿba, the holiest place in Islam. According to Islamic narratives, the well is a miraculously generated source of water, which opened up thousands of years ago when the son of Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismaʿil (Ishmael), was left with his mother Hajar (Hagar) in the desert.
