Zbigniew Bartman
Zbigniew Andrzej Bartman (born 4 May 1987) is a Polish volleyball player, member of the Poland men's national volleyball team in 2008–2013, participant at the 2012 Olympic Games, 2009 European Champion, 2012 World League winner, silver medalist at the 2011 World Cup, Polish Champion (2013), Argentine Champion (2018). Personal life Zbigniew Bartman was born in 1987 in Warsaw. He has a child born in 2019. Career Before his career as an indoor volleyball player, Bartman played beach volleyball with Michał Kubiak. They won a gold medal at the European U-18 Championship in 2004 and a silver medal at the World U-18 Championship, also in 2004. Both Kubiak and Bartman gave up playing beach volleyball. Clubs Bartman debuted in PlusLiga for the club MOS Wola Warszawa during a match against Skra Bełchatów in 2003. In 2013/2014, he played for Italian club Casa Modena. The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Michał Kubiak
Michał Jarosław Kubiak (born 23 February 1988) is a Polish professional volleyball player. He was a member of the Poland national team from 2011 to 2021. A participant in the Olympic Games ( London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020), two–time World Champion (2014, 2018), and the 2012 World League winner. At the professional club level, he plays for Panasonic Panthers. Personal life Michał Kubiak was born in Wałcz, Poland. He has an older brother Błażej, who is also a volleyball player. He is married to Monika. On 23 February 2014 (Kubiak's 26th birthday) their daughter Pola was born. They also have a second child. The Poland national men's volleyball team is controlled by the Polish Volleyball Federation, which represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. Poland is one of the world's strongest teams, they are ranked first in the FIVB world ranking as of 11 September 2022. 2009 Men's European Volleyball Championship was held from September 3 to September 13, 2009 in İzmir and Istanbul, Turkey. Poland claimed their first Men's European Volleyball Championship title with an undefeated run. The final was concluded with a 3-1 victory against France. The Men's European Volleyball Championship (''EuroVolley'') is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation ( CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Italy, which won its seventh title at the 2021 tournament. History The first tournament was held in 1948 with participation of six national teams. Being only participant from Eastern Europe, Czechoslovakia captured gold. FIVB Volleyball World League
The FIVB Volleyball World League was an annual international men's volleyball competition. Created in 1990, it was the longest and richest of all the international events organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The women's version of the competition was called FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix. This event should not be confused with the other international volleyball competitions, the World Championship, the World Cup and the World Grand Champions Cup. From 2018, the World League and World Grand Prix was replaced by the men's and women's Nations League and men's and women's Challenger Cup.
